Spiderman 3 Score review
Spiderman 3 is the final film of the series produced and directed by Sam Raimi. Featuring returning actors Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco as the main characters, the movie expands with a few new cast members of great talent and importance to the plot.
The final movie features Spider-Man and Peter Parker in a whole new light. The movie begins for the first time with Peter having his life in order: he is finally with Mary Jane, he has a job, things are once again OK with Harry and everything has nowhere to go from there but down. As the plot evolves two more villains emerge: the Sandman and Venom. A new Goblin is also making things difficult for Peter, especially since he cannot fight him.
The most impressive thing about the movie is the battle between Peter’s two personalities, one taken over by the extraterrestrial black entity which forms a symbiosis with his body and feeds on anger. A new appearance of Spiderman emerges as we see him be ruthless and more powerful than ever.
The score for Spiderman 3 was composed by a different person this time. Replacing Danny Elfman for Spider-Man 3 the score features compositions by Christopher Young. The same amount of work was put in for this movie as it was for the first two, and Young’s talent made onto the big screen in impressive moment created with the help of instruments.
The battle between Spider-Man and venom could not exist without the increasing tension of every beat behind the image. The moment between Harry and Peter have a certain optimistic feel, and range from dangerous to extreme emotion by the end of the movie, with the score backing up every bit of it. Furthermore Sandman’s story and Peter’s reaction to the news about his Uncle Ben’s death could almost bring anyone to tears in this marvelous Spider-man 3 score.
