The Cider House Rules is an award winning and nominated drama directed by Swedish filmmaker Lasse Hallstrom, and based on a book by American author John Irving. The movie was able to put together several talented actors as well, such as Michael Caine, Toby Maguire, Charlize Theron, Delroy Lindo, and J.K. Simmons. Both Irving and Caine won Oscars for their involvement in the film. The Cider House Rules film score was also nominated for an Oscar, as well as a Grammy.
