He composed this masterpiece while he was working for the Home Alone movie in 1990.
Besides composing music for film, John Williams also composed the theme for the Olympic Games, numerous songs for television and concerts. He also worked for the Boston Pops Orchestra between 1980 and 1993 as the principal conductor.
John Williams was born in 1932 in New York. In 1998, the movies score composer was introduced on the Songwriters Hall of Fame and in the year of 2000 he received the title of Maestro of the Year from the National Association of Movie Theater Owners, while in 2010 he was awarded by the White House with the National Medal for Arts for his services and contribution in promoting and developing of American music.
